Season Overview

It was "game on" as the Senators tied the New York Islanders 3-3 in their home-opener, which was delayed until Jan. 22, 1995, due to the NHL lockout. The Senators home was still the 10,500-seat Civic Centre, but fans were anxiously anticipating the Senators' new major-league arena as the silhouette of the Palladium grew to dominate the open fields surrounding its site in Kanata, Ont.

Season Highlights

Feb. 6, 1995 Don Beaupre recorded the Senators' first shutout in a 3-0 home win over Philadelphia - the only shutout of the 1994-95 season. Beaupre also had the second shutout in franchise history on Nov. 2, 1995, in a 5-0 win over Hartford.
Feb. 23, 1995 Randy Cunneyworth tied a club record with six shots on goal in the final period in a 5-5 tie against Washington.
April 27, 1995 Ottawa scored six consecutive goals in a 6-2 win over Tampa Bay to set a club record for most consecutive goals.
